Bio

Dr. Gitanjali Roy is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA), SIU, Pune. She has her educational background in psychology and her research interests lie at Indian psychology. Dr. Roy has her post-graduation in Counselling Psychology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Ph.D. in Indian Psychology from the same university, where she developed a novel assessment tool for personality. Other than this, she has another scale ‘Asakti tool’ regularly used by scholars across universities to analyze personality.

At SSLA Pune, Dr. Roy teaches courses on Lifespan development, Biological psychology, and research methodology. His pedagogical philosophy is deeply rooted in experiential approach by integrating field-based learning and disciplinary frameworks to engage students in real-world challenges.
