I strongly believe that learning is not a one-way street. Every one of my classes is an opportunity for me to gain a deeper understanding of the topic along with my students. I try to achieve this by balancing content with activity-based learning. I strive to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, discussing ideas, and feeling validated rather than judged. I try to connect theoretical concepts to everyday experiences and real-world issues to make the content relevant to the students.
As a faculty of Psychology, I encourage students to engage in critical thinking and real-world application. Students can expect a mix of theory and activities like debates, discussions and case studies to facilitate learning. I try to experiment with unique assessment formats to gauge student learning in non-traditional ways. Ultimately, I strive for my students to be curious, critical thinkers who will continue to be lifelong learners.
