These lines from the ‘Auguries of Innocence’, while echoing the essence of life, also convey the philosophy of how anything little, also holds some greater cosmic truth. It is a reflection of how perception varies and impacts the intellectual and spiritual orientations. Interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, multidisciplinary approaches to learning and teaching makes one more competent, aids in developing critical thinking and higher order reasoning. Also, the teacher-student dialogue is highly impactful, enhancing comprehensibility, while nurturing the skill to question fearlessly, all leading to holistic development.
Atiya Fathima has been instrumental in the The Turing Program between Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts and Bournemouth University, UK. The program aims to allow SSLA psychology students to buddy with BU psychology students during their mobility exchange in India. This program is led by Dr Shanti Shanker (Department of Psychology, (BU) in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, (SSLA) lead by Atiya Fathima. As an Indian Buddy – the students have a chance to meet Psychology students from UK and also work with a team that is keen to promote Psychology and Mental Health in India. They also have an excellent insight into the global culture while enhancing their global employability skills.
